A Small Kitchen Redesign
This client was desperate to sell her home. The ceiling had an outdated flourescent light, the walls were white, the cabinets were dark, dated and nicked, and the countertop was dull. We went in and removed a large cabinet and replaced it with two white accessory shelves, removed the ceiling lighting and constructed a cove ceiling and installed a chandelier, we painted the walls a dramatic red and all lower cabinets in gloss white and installed corbels at the bar, we added accessories and inexpensive window treatments and cleaned and repaired upper cabinets. The client was told by her real estate agent that she would need to install granite countertops and tile floor in order to sell quickly. We disagreed and made the above changes and the house sold within 3 weeks of the first Open House! Redesign does wonders!
